Devea is honoured to have supported IRBA (Army Biomedical Research Institute) in biodecontaminating its biological containment laboratories.
This partnership covered the various stages of the laboratory bio-decontamination process: services, cycle development and choice of a specific protocol, in order to decontaminate not only the areas, but also the HVAC ducts, while maintaining the minimum pressures appropriate to the needs of the premises.
For 2 laboratories with a particularly high level of biological risk, the requirement was to meet disinfection objectives in line with current standards. Recipes were developed with IRBA, specifically for this configuration and specification.
The ergonomics, mobility and ease-of-use of Devea equipment, as well as the possibility of remote connection (from outside the laboratory), were decisive factors, especially in the context of handling in a totally encapsulated laboratory suit.

We have Phileas® 75 and 250 devices, which we use with O2SAFE® as part of our research into infectious diseases.
The technology is easy to use, the explanations are clear, and the MyPhileas support software is very useful. From the outset of our discussions with Devea, the support provided was responsive and efficient, and we appreciated the expertise on the technology and on the PQ approach (biological indicators, protocols, etc.). We therefore chose to carry out the Performance Qualification with Devea, and qualified 5 zones, even with tricky configurations (footprint, tunnel).
The system is robust, we have confidence in the technology, and we were able to defend our DSVA strategy to the supervisory authorities recently: the PQ reports were presented and were appreciated during our recent inspection.
In short, the key words in our relationship with Devea technology are trust, efficiency, robustness, support and responsiveness. We have already recommended Phileas® + O2SAFE® to our colleagues!

We are a biodecontamination company, with a fleet of several Phileas® 25, and have been servicing of 500 biosafety cabinets over the years.
We use biological and chemical indicators to illustrate the results, as well as the MyPhileas application to download diffusion reports from the Phileas® 25 device. Our clients have been extremely satisfied with the disinfection performances as well as the traceability provided by the Devea technology. We are considering adding a new device to our fleet of Phileas®.

Airborne surface disinfection is a disinfection method that is widely used in Naobios cleanrooms.
We are a CDMO specialized in the production of pre-clinical and clinical batches of virus-based biological products: this process enables us to ensure the smooth transition from one production campaign to another, and to avoid cross-contamination each time a new biological agent is handled.
In order to renew our disinfection equipment, which was becoming obsolete, we investigated several options and chose Devea’s Phileas® systems. The decision was based on the following factors: personnel safety, harmlessness to equipment and cleanrooms, ease of implementation, data traceability, and the geographical proximity of the two companies facilitating exchanges and responsiveness of services.
After several weeks of collaboration, I have no regrets about the choice we made. The Devea systems are efficient (effective and repeatable disinfection), easy to use, reducing the amount of biocide needed with a technology safer for operators and less corrosive on cleanroom components. I’d like to add that I appreciated the teams’ availability, adaptability as well as their professionalism. The quality of our discussions and their support let to the success of the validation project.
Satisfied, we would like to use this process for sterilization before production.

The Phileas® devices are easy to use for operators (compared to what we had before!), who don’t need extensive training.

We purchased 2 x Phileas® Genius for sporicidal decontamination of isolators in our pharmacy aseptic manufacturing unit.
This was done as part of a project to replace existing isolators and the integrated VHP system that had reached the end of their life cycle.
I was able to validate the decontamination process for 6 log₁₀ reduction using Geobacillus stearothermophilus with technical assistance provided by Devea.
The Phileas® Genius meets our needs because it is portable and fits into any isolator without requiring costly modifications.

When equipping a new site, we chose Devea on the basis of the biological performance of their solutions as demonstrated in trials.
We acquired a fleet of 22 Phileas® 75 and 250 devices adapted to our system, and Devea qualified them for installation and operation.

We knew Devea because we already have a Phileas® 25 for the disinfection of an airlock to an L3 (P3) laboratory. We acquired a new Phileas® 25 in 2021 for the disinfection of an isolator, for daily use.
The company Devea has accompanied us well for the adaptation and the tests in our configuration which is not very standard. I appreciated the responsiveness of the teams and their concern for the performance of the equipment. We control the Phileas® 25 with the MyPhileas application on a tablet. We have just placed an order for a Phileas® 285 model for the biodecontamination of parts.

When changing our H₂O₂ disinfection system, we looked at 4 potential solutions. Several people around us recommended the Phileas® system from Devea, which was finally chosen for the following reasons:
- Holding of a Marketing Authorisation (MA)
- Optimal ergonomics of use: small, light, easy to move and to start up
- The MyPhileas application allows us to find all the information from previous releases without having to print a ticket
- The O2SAFE biocide in 10L is convenient, with safe and easy decanting to fill the Phileas® canister
We use Phileas® 75 with O2SAFE at 12 mL/m3 in laboratories of about 25 to 40m3 regularly (between each batch). The Phileas® – O2SAFE solution, with the MyPhileas application and the preventive maintenance contract, corresponds completely to our needs and to the description and feedback we received. It is for us much simpler than the VHP solution we had before, faster and safer thanks to the lower concentrations of H₂O₂ for the same efficiency.
